THE BUG BULLETIN BOARD
Coming into the last month and a half of school it is a challenge to keep the kids interested in learning. Having this interactive board with bright colors, cool bugs and a velcro challenge even interests the 6th graders.
What a challenge to make the bugs stand out and attached to a flap on the board.
This was absolutely the best. Why you ask......the kids really did read and check out the board.
Since the kids liked to put up and use the velcro I made a center piece quiz. Match the picture to the scientific name. Mind you all the answers are on the board under the bugs. Just flip the flap and read the facts.

Winter Bulletin Board Frozen Characters with Trees and Lights
I had so much fun doing this one for the school. Using the fun characters from Frozen just excited everyone who saw it.
The black background I sprayed a glitter and glued on clear blue snowflakes and painted a mountain range.
The trees are branches from my yard that I sprayed with white paint so it would have a misting of snow. Lights and a few ball decorations and it just looks so colorful and inviting.
To cover up were I did not have enough blue background I used white tissue paper as snow. Worked great for my boo boos.
Since the board is so big it was a little difficult to get the dimensions perfect. I made everything at home then brought it in to put up.

POEM & EARTH DAY Bulletin Board Lorax
EARTH DAY BULLETIN BOARD
To save time I added items I made the previous year. With the garbage can, recycle bins and all the trash.
I used a heavy duty staple gun to attach velcro squares to the board for the trash.
I printed out many different trash or recyclable items, laminated them and attached velcro to the back side.
This Dr. Seuss board I added a road with a Thneed vehicle and tried to make a few stumps of truffula trees to show them cut down.
DR. SEUSS BULLETIN BOARD LORAX
DR SEUSS THE LORAX
Everybody just loved this bulletin board this year.
Tissue paper truffula trees, Fuzzy material for the bears with some foam to make the cheeks and parts of the body poof out from the board. A 3-D affect.
I also made some butterflies out of coffee filters and pipe cleaners.
The Lorax is made out of felt. The grass has Easter basket grass in patches to give it more texture.
Everybody just loved touching the fuzzy bears and did not want the board to come down.
Most of the items I make, I try to save for the next year. It saves time with making the board.
As you know it takes MANY hours to make and even put up bulletin boards this elaborate. It is worth the effort to get the children's imagination flowing.
School Bulletin Board Valentine's Random Acts of Kindness
RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS BULLETIN BOARD
Take the challenge!
If you see an act of kindness write it down and fill the heart boxes. Make them overflow with all the nice things you and your classmates do for others around the school.
Candy boxes made with card stock and coffee filters for the wrappers inside.
To add a little POP I made some lollipops and wrapped candy around the board.
Keep in mind this board is about 11" X 6".
I still have a very hard time putting up the backdrop paper by myself.
But in the end the teachers, kids and parents really like the bulletin boards.

Earth Day Bulletin Board
It's all about recycling! This Earth Day Board is interactive. The garbage on the board all has Velcro on the pieces and kids go by and take them down and put the items in the correct recycling bin.
A lot of work, but the kids really liked being able to take things off and put them in the bins.
